fifties glam

I have a new obsession, and it seems to be 50’s glam, and it seems to be back in full force at least on the TV. I am absolutely addicted to Pan Am and the playboy club.

The fifties was the height and unfortunate end of what I consider old movie star glamour and the art of being a lady. I am by no means anything close to being anything like a glamorous ladies of the past. I do very much enjoy not having dress up for every little thing, like women were expected to in the past. I am very proud of how society has become open and accepting of people outside the “norm”. But I think we have kind of lost something along the way. We seem to have lost the graciousness of the past, and the art of being woman and lady. In our world now, being a lady seems is practically frowned on. Its almost like if you act with manners and grace, and dress up, you are considered the outcast.  Watching these shows you can get a glimpse of what it was like and how is was to be a true lady in a world that appreciates
